Subscription Rate Change

November is the final month readers can subscribe to High Gear for only three dollars for 12 issues. Beginning in December our subscription will increase to $5.00 per year. We regret the change; however higher postal and printing costs demand we increase our revenues. It is the firm intention of those involved with High Gear to keep the newspaper free of charge at all bars, baths, universities, bookstores, etc. so long as we are in existence. But for those who wish

to make certain they receive High Gear every month, it might be wise to take advantage of our present low rate.

Remember! All profits that High Gear makes go to the GEAR Community Services which provides free professional counseling, medical care referrals, the Community Hotline, legal aid, speaker's bureau, and other services to the Northeastern Ohio gay community. Subscribe to us and cast a vote of support for your people.

Jack Anderson Gay?

A former

WASHINGTON senior Pentagon investigator says in 1971 he was ordered to "establish" that syndicated columnist Jack Anderson had a homosexual relationshp with a suspected news source, even though there was no reason to believe that one existed.

W. Donald Stewart was told the order came directly from the President (Nixon); but still refused to obey it, because the "order was not to see what might be there, but to insure that I found a homosexual relationship." When Stewart rejected his orders, the President was reported to have been "jumping up and down in anger." There is or was no evidence a homosexual Anderson had relationship with R. Radford, the source, or suspected news anyone else.
